Objective:
The objective of the Hot and Cold game is to develop:
- Improved Coordination and Agility: The game enhances children’s motor skills and agility by encouraging quick and precise movements.
- Enhanced Listening and Comprehension: Children learn to listen carefully and respond to instructions, improving their ability to follow directions and process information quickly.
- Historical Knowledge: Introduce children to the history of the Great Wall of China.
Game Setup:
- 2 teams: Hot and Cold
- 10 cones
- 2 hoops
Game Rules:
- The « Hot and Cold » chase game is a sports game for children.
- At the start signal, the adult begins telling a story. In the story, they mention hot (red) and cold (blue) items, such as drinks, countries, natural elements, etc.
- When the adult says a « hot » word, the Hot team must run to collect as many red objects as possible without being tagged by a member of the Cold team.
- When the adult says a « cold » word, the Cold team must run to collect as many blue objects as possible without being tagged by a member of the Hot team.
Roles:
- Hot Team: Collects red objects.
- Cold Team: Collects blue objects.
Additional Rules:
- Each child can only touch one object during the running phase.
- A child who is tagged is « stopped » and can no longer collect an object during that phase.
- If a child is tagged while holding an object, the object must be returned to its original place.
- The team that successfully collects all its colored objects wins the game.
